as a member of the Stakes and lumar, luis has performed at the viva phx, apache lake, and side pony express music festivals, He has played for sold out crowds opening for warren g, too short, biz markie, and The Internet.
luis also performs with the extreme decibel big band, one of the longest running big bands of the southwest. he is often found playing with some of the top party bands, as well as small groups sharing the stage with some of the best musicians in town.
born and raised in mexico city, martinez moved to the u.s. during his high school years. upon graduating high school, he attended glendale community college and began his career as a musician.
Luis is a certified audio engineer and kcactf nominated sound designer.
